Pretty Flowers

In planning a wedding, you have to look at floral arrangements right? That can be difficult. All of them are so beautiful. When you narrow the choice, you still get some of the most beautiful flowers you've ever seen. For those that love to just look at beauty when its minding it own business, love flowers. Such an awesome sight to see.

Once you can't take it, you narrow them down by meaning. They all have some powerful meanings. The simple red rose symbolizes Love, Desire, Respect, Courage and job well done. My favorite flower, the Daisy, means Gentleness, Innocence, and Loyal love. Its hard to make a decision when you love flowers like I do.

Soooo behind

I have not been blogging for quite some time so we have a lot of catching up to do. I'll tell you about the misadventures of my car being broken down and the bus hopping i have to do just to get to the market or work.
you have to hear about the nonsense of my cousin moving in to help pay the rent and all the issues there. two queens in 1 castle.... need i say more?
then you have to hear about the fiasco at work and performance management dun dun dunnnn.....!!!!!! lol!
next I'll tell you about the many that try to take me away from my honey Thurstan. Honestly, if your not cute, sexy or fine, why chase a taken lady? and the oh so sexy first love that has all the right moves. It's just not happening.... I love Thurstan and your too late.
Fashion week returns and project runway is also upon us. Korto Should've Won!!!! (angry eyes) sorry Daniel. Your my season 2 fav but she had every1 beat. Jeffrey shouldn't have even been invited.
Finally, we're getting married and planning costs money as well as the actual wedding. I'll try to keep you updated on the pre-marital counseling, venues, expenses, and whatever else is involved.
Thurstan comes back to America on September 15Th. can't wait to wrap my arms around him and tell him how much I've missed him.
So much has happened. Some of it I'd rather forget and other things etched in stone and on display. Thanks for viewing and reading. Some day I'll get advertisement on this thing.
Peace!

Love:
I was talking to my boyfriend about love not having anything to do with your looks. He asked if I would still love him and be attracted to him if he weren't a handsome fellow. I had to think about it for a nano second. That's how much I love him. Only needed enough time to hear the question. I once told him I hate it when people associate overweight with ugly. An overweight person can be just as attractive as a thin person. Some of the best looking people are in the plus-sized section of the boutiques. I think a person isn't really in love if they judge by the physical. My bf says men assume you'll gain weight with the passing years of marriage so if you're already plus-sized, then it will worsen after marriage. I say if you really love the person, you wouldn't leave them or love them any less. A person should lose weight because they want to or for health reasons, but never to keep someone from leaving them especially if they were that size since the beginning of the relationship. Love is blind. I leave you with 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Notice the Bible never judged by physical appearance this love, but by character.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Missing out

Fashion:

OK, so now I'm green with envy. There's an industry party (fashion of course) this Sunday at the Tremont Grand and I won't be there. It won't be because I don't want to be but because I recently had foot surgery and I refuse to make a fashion statement with a surgical boot on. To top it off, my print model friend Joey isn't going so I'll have no eyes there. I don't want to miss out on a good opportunity to see fashion in the works. Ugh!!! Oh well.

I checked out a few fashion shows online and so far I'm loving Bottega Veneta the most but I have a long way to go. If you lovely ladies out there are into name brands for a LOWER PRICE, check out http://www.luckymag.com/ for some sweet discounts. What do you all think of these Chinese Laundry stems once I can bend my toe again? I think they're hot. I'm missing out on really hot shoes this summer for a chance to hit the dance floor again at full force. Its worth it I think.
Until next time.....

Welcome to my world! Glad you made it. This is the beginning of a whole new era in my life so I'll tell you all about it. I'm a black American female (not to be confused with African- American) and I'm growing up. I have a long distance (for now) English boyfriend whom I love dearly and gives me inspiration. I'm very interested in fashion, music, art and love.

In my posts, you will read about what I see and like in the fashion world such as the spring collection of Kors by Michael Kors or local Baltimore fashion scenes. With music, I'll tell you what I'm listening to like Musiq Soulchild's 4th album "Onmyradio" and what I like about it. Sort of like a soundtrack to my life. My love for art is more so based on the thoughts a piece provokes in my mind. When I talk about love, I may be talking about my own relationship, the relationship of someone I know, or just a hypothetical question men usually dread.

Your very welcomed to watch me grow into the poised lady my parents so diligently attempted to train me to be. Advice and questions are always welcomed but don't insult me. I don't think that's nice. If you have kids my age, ask them what they think and let me know. Thanks for listening.

Until next time......
